	Real-Audio/Video Player	The Dr. Dobb's TechNetcast is broadcast using Real-Audio and -Video streaming. Progressive Networks' RealPlayer, versions 4.0 and up, is required to receive the audio/video stream. (The older RealAudio player can also be used to receive audio-only streams). After downloading and installing the Real Player, click on the video links to start viewing the show.

	Chat Clients	The easiest way to participate in TechNetcast chat is to join the chat room through the java chat applet available by clicking on the chat links on this site. The chat room, however, can also be accessed through any standard IRC client by connecting to irc.pseudo.com:6667 #technetcast. The following is a selection of IRC-compatible clients:
